Become an Alwan Member

Alwan offers an array of programs showcasing the diverse arts and cultures of the Middle East in an intimate setting where you, our community, can engage meaningfully with the artists and work being presented. As a nonprofit organization, Alwan looks to its members to provide the ongoing support necessary to sustain this one-of-a-kind cultural space.

In recognition of your support, members at every level enjoy special member pricing for all events held at Alwan. Members also receive discounts for related events taking place around the city. Two members from the same household can opt for a dual subscription and get the same benefits for a reduced price.

Our Sustainers, Patrons, and Benefactors are invited to private events with guest speakers and artists. Recent events included dinners with Hisham Matar, Ahdaf Soueif, and Adonis.

However, we hope you will join Alwan not only for the benefits, but for the support of our mission implicit in your enrollment.

Basic

$5 off ticketed events held at Alwan (for membership ID holder only)

Contribution:

70 annually / 50 students (students will be asked to furnish proof of student status after payment is received)
