Linda Cumming lives and works in New York City and teaches at the International Center of Photography in Manhattan. Her work is represented by DMContemporary in Mill Neck, NY.
Her photographs have been exhibited extensively in museums and galleries both nationally and internationally. She is the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards from prominent art institutions, including the Whitney Museum of Art, and the Bronx Museum of Art in New York. Cummings’ photographs have been featured in BLIND SPOT (Issue #15) magazine, the “Director’s Cut” of APERTURE and the catalogue of 20th Century photographers, “Graver La Lumiere,” produced by Fondation Cuendet & Atelier de Saint-Prex. Her work is included in many private and museum collections, including the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian, Washington, DC; Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn, NY; Bronx Museum of Art, Bronx, NY; Museo Nazionale della Fotographia de Brescia, Brescia, Italy; and Musee Jenisch, Vevey, Switzerland.
Cummings received a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, Halifax, NS, Canada and her MFA from the Mason Gross College of Art at Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA. For more information: www.lindacummings.com
