A short film by Mumtaz Hussein followed by a Persian and English reading of the classical works of Rumi by Iraj Anvar

Mumtaz Hussein is a Pakistani born visual artist who lives in New York City.
Iraj Anvar is former NYU professor and translator/editor of the acclaimed Divani- I Shams- I Tabriz: Forty Eight Ghazals of
Rumi The event is produced by Ayse Turgut, independent curator and Islamic art specialist in conjunction with her exhibit Continuity and Change: Islamic Tradition in Contemporary Art at the Williamsburg Art and Historical Center (Fall 2007).
