Ten political women prisoners explain their experiences as Iranian prisoners. Three generation of women describe their stories in the last 50 years and about two massacres in the 80’s under Islamic Republic of Iran, the moment of fear, failure, resistance, torture, friendship and more...


Dr. PanteA Bahrami is a graduate of the Alame Tabatabai University in Teheran and has earned a Ph.D. in journalism and media from the University of Dortmund, Germany. She is currently research assistant in social work at Hunter College. Her films, "Islam: My Identity or the Reason of My Escape," Halal or Haram, think different,“ and “Why must the love be a taboo?” and "From Scream to Scream" have been selected for international film festivals, including the Feminale Women’s Film Festival in Cologne (2002) and the International Meeting of Women and Cinema in October 2004 in Florence, Italy. Dr. Bahrami has published several articles including, "Sexuality and Depression," (1998, Awaye Zan). She has taught video editing and other courses in several German institutions of higher education. She also conducts documentary film workshops for students and other young people.
