The organizing committee for Israeli Apartheid Week NYC invites you to a fund-raising night of spoken word featuring Remi Kenazi and Tahani Salah.
We will raffle off prizes and sell Palestinian goods, and offer many more ways for you to help make the 4th international Israeli Apartheid Week a wall-smashing success
Remi Kanazi is a writer, poet, and activist based in New York City. He is the co-founder of www.PoeticInjustice.net and the editor of the forthcoming anthology of poetry, Poets for Palestine. He has been regularly featured on the Al Jazeera English program, the Listening Post and will be appearing again this year in the New York Arab-American Comedy Festival.
Tahani Salah is a performer, poet, and activist based in Brooklyn. She
was recently featured on HBO's Def Poetry Jams and was a 2007
Nuyorican Poets Cafe slam team member. She also serves as the Youth
Outreach Coordinator for Urban NYC and sit on the Urban Word Youth
Board. She is currently a senior at Columbia University and is working
on her first collection of poetry.
