Join Alwan for the Arts in celebrating and appreciating the unique and diverse arts and culture of Yemen in a special series that will span over two weeks and will include film screenings with discussions, a book launch on The Silver Treasures from the Land of Sheba, and a concert by the renowned Yemeni-musician Abdulrahman al-Akhfash.

One of the oldest crossroads of civilizations and global trade, this series celebrates Yemen, past and present, and offers a small yet enticing taste and momentary glance into the breadth of the wonders, magic, and profundity of this cradle of civilizations, whose modernity has been marred by constant upheaval and strife, culminating in a struggle of its people rising and seeking to be heard.
